We honed in on 3 places where our team of incentive professionals could assist – developing a yearlong campaign to market the incentive trip, finding a destination and venue that aligned with the company’s culture and expectations, and a trip that would truly recognize top achievers, making them feel valued and celebrated.
Motivating & Recognizing Top Talent
- The incentive travel program served as a powerful tool to reward top talent by providing exclusive recognition and rewards to these high-performing individuals.
- The trip not only acknowledged exceptional achievements but also created a sense of belonging and motivation. The exclusivity and prestige associated with the company’s incentive travel program elevated employees’ job satisfaction and served as a tangible testament to the organization’s commitment to valuing and investing in its top performers.
- Keeping the excitement throughout the year, Bucom worked with the client’s internal teams to implement the incentive program’s theme into their monthly sales calls. On these calls, the team was given an update on the leaderboard of who would potentially be attending the upcoming trip. Bucom also created a monthly newsletter to be sent out, which served as extra motivation.
- Upon speaking with the client’s internal team, a motivating factor we learned from past participants was the opportunity to get to know leadership better. Being able to share quality time throughout the program with senior management while networking with peers makes the CEO Club a truly special honor.
Diligent Venue Selection
- Bucom meticulously sourced numerous properties, eventually identifying Cap Juluca as a unique and fitting venue, in line with past history and expectations for their incentive travel program.
- Contract negotiations are a critical aspect of any incentive travel program. Bucom’s process analyzed potential variations in the number of achievers based on historical data and we negotiated numerous sliding scale contractual opt-outs and modifications.
- Beyond securing the perfect location, an obstacle that is common when traveling to an island like Anguilla are the many logistical hurdles. Bucom seamlessly managed the intricacies of airline ticketing for both achievers and their guests. This comprehensive approach ensured a stress-free travel experience, from the initial flight arrangements to the boat journey to the island. Throughout the entire trip, attendees were accompanied by a Bucom team member, offering support and assistance at every step.
Custom Elevated Experience
- An incentive travel program is more than just a trip. Recognizing the value in anticipation, Bucom implemented a pre-trip promotion strategy. This included unveiling the location during their National Sales Meeting; teasing the upcoming experience, and formally announcing the winners.
- To build excitement, achievers received numerous thoughtful pre-trip gifts. A favorite example – while achievers learned of their accomplishments at the National Sales Meeting, a celebratory gift was sent to their homes facilitating an emotional unboxing experience with their spouse/partner. Local gifts, including a personalized hat bar and nightly amenities, added a memorable touch for achievers and their guests.
- Coordinating unique VIP experiences was a focal point. Bucom organized a private island event, renting the entire island for the CEO Club. Participants were taken on a catamaran to a secluded oasis in the middle of the ocean, where a beach BBQ and live band awaited a truly distinctive and unforgettable experience.
